Ink Stamping Press (maxi)

To ink stamp in exactly the same position for many objects that are identical, can be challenging. This press overcomes that challenge. Also if one item doesn't get enough ink, then re-inking and pressing in exactly the same position is going to happen perfectly. I created this larger version to ink stamp a string of numbers onto laser cut 300mm long mdf and cardboard panels. The press was positioned onto a wooden surface, and nails were used for the panels to butt up against, to ensure that the boards were always placed in the same position. Standard 3mm and 4mm nails were used in the assembly of the press as shafts, for better strength than plastic can offer. The rubber ink stamps were adhered to a standard aluminium square tube 30x30mm 1.2mm thickness. This is held to the press with the 3D printed adaptors. This should be a easy fit to swop ink stamps. By unscrewing the right press arm from the wooden surface, ink stamps can be swopped. To ensure that the press arms work in harmony, they have been connected together with a square bar 8.1x8.1mm I had to make up a non standard ink pad. Trodat supplied me with the ink pad materials, which I placed into an aluminium u-profile 73x20mm that I had lying around. Attached is the stop end for that profile if you purchase the same. You may prefer to 3D print a stamp box to suite your required stamp size.
