Ink Roll Device for Zebra Printers

I made this design because I needed a way to create small rolls of ink tape for my Zebra TLP 2844 printer, as the large ones I bought wouldn't fit inside. The design works really well - it produces perfectly aligned and neatly tied up rolls that function great in my printer. Some drawbacks since this is my first attempt are that the small roll can be a bit tricky to remove from its base when you're finished with it. Lastly, in a future version, I plan to add a motor to the base so I won't have to turn the rolls by hand.
