A small dense seagrass model is thriving in one of the most severely regressed seagrass patches we've discovered since 2004. According to our cartography, this seagrass patch was reported at a depth of 8 meters, but it actually emerged at a much deeper depth of 15 meters. Depth: 15 meters. Number of photographs: 180 photos taken on site. Working conditions were challenging due to strong currents heading south and visibility limited to 12 meters. Dimensions: The seagrass patch measures 4 meters wide by 3 meters long. Monitoring month: August, when we conducted a thorough assessment.
