Inishtrahull stands as Ireland's most northerly island, situated approximately 10 kilometers north-east of Malin Head in County Donegal. This rugged outpost is home to the northernmost lighthouse in Ireland. Until 1929, Inishtrahull boasted a thriving community, but today it remains uninhabited and has been safeguarded as a protected area due to its diverse wildlife. A historic schoolhouse can be found at annotation number 8 on the Sketchfab model of the entire island, available here: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/inishtrahull-island-built-heritage-288fd2bd0f2e4f35a9d41821429739a4 This project was generously supported through a Community Heritage Grant scheme provided to Inishtrahull Bird Observatory, with assistance also coming from the Twitter communities of www.inishtrahullbirdobs.ie and www.twitter.com/IrishLights.
