Ingress IFS award badge generator
thingiverse
At the Ingress Ipswich Field Test I spotted some of my badge designs from a year ago on the swag exchange table, apparently they had been used for prizes at a First Saturday and that really got me thinking. This is a Customizer script using the badges that would be perfectly reasonable for an IFS contest with a tab for the city name above the badge and the event date below (or vice versa, or something completely different - it's free form) if you want to use them. Since there isn't a game badge for AP gained, I've come up with a slight variation on the IFS badge to use for that. As with the originals, these are 4mm thick so if you program in a filament change at 2.5mm, you can get the colored highlight on a contrasting background. There is also the same recess in the back for a 25mm brooch clip. The file test.txt is actually a Windows .bat file that loops through all the designs using the -D parameter. That can be used as an off-line alternative to the Customizer if you have OpenSCAD installed, with the event city and date set by adding them to the -D parameter.
