Ingress Cryptex - 5 Glyph

This is an 8-level Ingress-themed cryptex. Approximately 60 of the roughly 100 Ingress glyphs are utilized, each ring featuring a distinct set of glyphs with numerous repetitions allowing for five-word phrase construction similar to gameplay to form unlock codes. Unlock codes can be reprogrammed at any time. Refer to the original Hiob design for assembly instructions. To assemble this cryptex, you will require five-letter components from the Hiob "customizations" remix (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3151555) and Ingress rings from my remix, along with an extended inner core file included. Hiob intentionally designed some wiggle room in the length of his inner core to accommodate printer variations for a snug fit. However, this left limited space for gluing into the right-hand side piece, necessitating an extension of 1.5 mm to achieve a secure bond. Always test-fit pieces before applying adhesive. The remix also includes 60 SVG glyphs I generated if you wish to create your own ring sequences using blank rings. Utilizing TinkerCAD is relatively straightforward; these glyphs are 9 mm wide from point to point on the ring. I employed the Ingress Glyph Image Maker (https://gm9.github.io/ingress-glyph-tools/example-glyph-image-maker.html) to produce SVGs, then edited them in Illustrator to expand strokes and join vectors. To complete the assembly, apply a metallic finish similar to that used by Hiob: Rub 'n Buff wax. I would like to extend sincere appreciation to MasonStonehenge for their exceptional design mechanics. The original Hiob remix has garnered significant attention, but it is MasonStonehenge's engineering prowess that truly deserves recognition.
