The Inglefield clip is a device used for rapidly and easily securing a flag or ensign to its halyard, allowing for quick hoisting. Each clip has a design similar to a chain link with a division on one side. The edges of this division are beveled, enabling the clips to be coupled or separated only when manually aligned. When pulled taut, the links become securely fastened. There are no moving parts within the link itself.
