Ingenious Game Board

We have a vast collection of board games, family game nights, and a 3D printed trophy that goes to the winner of our most recent game night. We're die-hard board game enthusiasts. Recently, we acquired another game designed by Reiner Knizia called Ingenious. It's an engaging strategy game, but we weren't impressed with the original game board or scoring tables. I had some spare time on my hands, so I decided to work on creating a new board. The main issue is that you need to lay down hex tiles in a hex grid until the board is filled up. However, the provided board is just a flat piece of cardboard. That's fine unless you accidentally knock over the pieces with your thumb and then have to figure out where everything was before the board got ruined. This new board design is split into six pieces so that it will fit on a Prusa i3 Mk3 printer. It almost fits as four parts, but not quite. I've included the original OpenSCAD files, which provide a function for slicing it into N pieces, so if you have a larger printer, you should be able to print it in fewer pieces if you prefer. However, it assumes an even number of pieces, so some patching will be required if you want something different. The print is designed to allow you to perform a simple multi-color print by swapping colors at the proper layer heights. If you have a Prusa or similar printer that handles the M600 filament change gcode, I've provided pre-sliced and ready-to-use gcode files sliced at 0.20mm as well. You can see my checklist for a description of the colors you'll want to use. The primary colors I used are Zi-Rui Shining Black Marble PLA and Amolen Marble PLA. Then I used red, blue, green, purple, orange, and yellow filaments that I had on hand.
