Influenza Virus Neuraminidase With Anti-flu Drug Relenza

Influenza Virus Neuraminidase With Anti-flu Drug Relenza

thingiverse

This enzyme, neuraminidase from influenza virus, aids the virus's escape post-replication by cleaving sialic acid groups on human glycoproteins. Zanamivir (Relenza), a neuraminidase inhibitor, reduces viral infection severity and spread. The model, based on PDB entry 1NNC, features STL files of the protein and inhibitor; four copies each are required. VMD created these files using surface representations. Printing involves four copies each of the 1NNC-pro_fixed.stl (protein) and 1NNC-relenza.stl (Relenza), accomplished via a Replicator 2 with MakerWare 2.2.2.89. The protein was printed at standard resolution, with 10% infill, 3 shells, raft, and supports, while relenza molecules were printed at high resolution with 25% infill and 3 shells.
