Infinity1 F3K DLG
grabcad
In my recent project, I designed a DLG glider from scratch and created molds by milling MDF boards. The initial piece weighs 285g but flies well; subsequent models will be around 250g. For the fuselage, I used a layup of spread tow IMS 60gsm, unidirectional carbon 80gsm with local reinforcements and carbon rovings, followed by another layer of spread tow 60gsm. The tip is made from kevlar fabric (4 times 60gsm). The wing consists of 45/45 carbon fabric, 25g glass fabric, paint, and a 70psi solid foam core. Tail surfaces are composed of foam core and homemade glas/carbon disser cloth with a 25gsm layer.
