For maximum style and durability, I highly recommend choosing either sterling silver or 14k gold. To give you an idea of the metal's weight, a ring size of 18 mm would require approximately 3.7 grams of 14k gold or 4.4 grams of 18k gold. The approximate metal weight for a 925 sterling silver ring would be around 3 grams. I've calculated that this ring would take up about 284,240 cubic millimeters in volume, if it were to be cast as solid.
