Infinity Holder
myminifactory
This spool holder was specifically designed for the 3D Printing Nerd Design Contest and created using Fusion 360. It's engineered to hold two one-kilogram spools from a manufacturer like Matterhackers, or three half-kilogram spools from a producer like Proto-pasta, while keeping torque on the two three-quarter-inch mounting bars to an absolute minimum. No additional hardware is required; simply place it on the two beams and put your spools in position! It features a 30mm threaded section that enables smaller internal diameter spools to fit securely on it, as well as accommodating larger internal diameter spools without any issues. You can use multiple nuts to space spools apart or maintain different sized spools in designated spots. Additionally, the holder itself weighs only 100 grams, allowing you to print ten of them with a one-kilogram spool if you reduce the infill slightly! Each nut weighs approximately twelve grams and though it only needs one to function, you can print as many as you like. To adjust the fit of the nuts on the threaded section, use the horizontal size compensation feature available in almost all modern slicers when printing the nuts for tighter or looser fits.
