Infinity Cube Magnetic Hinge / Parametric Design
thingiverse
Another version of the infinity fidget cube is now available, featuring a magnetic hinge that can be customized to fit different size magnets and cubes. The Fusion 360 design includes parametric features that allow users to customize the size of their magnets and cubes. This means you can create your own unique designs using the included STL files. To assemble this infinity fidget cube, you'll need 32 small magnets and four PartA and four PartB components. Using stronger magnets will result in a more robust hinge. Note that there's a small dot on the inside of each hinge hole indicating the polarity of the magnets. To ensure accurate assembly, keep your magnets organized in a neat row when mounting them. To secure the magnets in place, I used a tiny amount of superglue. This project includes STL files for two different cube sizes: * A 20mm size cube designed for use with 6mm diameter and 5mm width magnets * A 15mm size cube designed for use with 5mm diameter and 3mm width magnets Watch the assembly process in action on this YouTube video.
