The Infiniti Emerg-E, a concept vehicle by Nissan's Infiniti division, debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. It utilizes the Lotus Evora platform and showcased the hybrid powertrain of the 2012 Lotus 414E concept car. The Emerg-E features dual electric motors generating 402 bhp with 738 lb·ft torque, accelerating to 60 mph in just four seconds. With a 30-mile electric range, a small 47 bhp petrol engine charges the lithium-ion battery pack, or it can be plugged in for recharging. The mid-engined two-seater sports car was demonstrated as a functioning prototype at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed, though production remains uncertain.
