The Infilled Tiles serve to visually demonstrate the percentage of infill that represents and what amount of shells represent from the Settings menu within MakerBot Desktop. This model is part of the Print Kit found in MakerBot in the Classroom at makerbot.com/education. Each print functions as a visual aid to help describe fundamental concepts, terminology, and/or settings associated with 3D Printing. Visit makerbot.com/education to access all our educational resources, including real-world MakerBot stories, videos, learning, challenges and more. Download the .makerbot file and place it on your usb stick. The .makerbot file is for a MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D Printer (5th Generation). Pause the print to switch filament colors. If you need to print this file on other MakerBot Replicators, please download the .stl file and bring into MakerBot Print doing the following: Go to Settings > Custom Settings > Roofs > Show > Done > Roof Thickness > 0.0mm. Select the correct printer from the Device dropdown in the file menu bar using MakerBot Desktop. You will need to create a custom profile for this file to print properly by selecting Create Profile in Settings. Choose the correct template (printer, filament, and resolution). Name the new profile (infill test) and click Edit Profile. A text editor will open allowing you to change "numberOfShells" to match the number of the tile. Change "infillDensity" to the matching number of the tile and FINALLY CHANGE "roofThickness" TO ZERO.
