Infill Caps

Infill Caps

prusaprinters

PrusaSlicer has really made everything easy with their modifiers. I was making some caps for my tubes and decided I would make them infill patterned. Hope you like them!!!

Below are instructions to change some parameters. The size I made was for a .625in(15.875mm) tube, but can easily be resized in the slicer for whatever needs you have. Feel free to resize as needed.

To make non see-through or increase/decrease infill:

Go to the infill part you want (found on the right list of your slicer)

Clock on the modifier settings (aka “Infill, Lay…d Perimeters”)

To make non see-through, increase Top layer by 1 (or more if you want)

To increase/decrease the infill, increase/decrease the percentage

For the Concentric and Archimedean Chords see-through versions I put a small X. Without this, the infill would not stay stuck to the rest of the print.

To increase/decrease the size depending on your needs:

The Outer diameter is 17.98mm, use this formula to scale up as needed:

(DiameterNeeded/17.98)*100=Scale Input

If you want to scale by the Inner diameter instead, its dimension is 15.98mm. Use the formula above in the same way but instead of 17.98mm use 15.98mm. (Note, the modifier inside the cap is of diameter 15.98mm if you need to check the size)

Put the scale input number into the scale factor as shown below.

Let me know if you have any questions!!!
