Indycar Speedway Rear Wing Fully Printable (1:1 Scale)
thingiverse
I am a huge IndyCar fan from France, so when Simon Pagenaud won the Indy 500 on May 26, 2019, I had to celebrate it in style! I decided that nothing beats creating a 3D printed model of the car's rear wing, so I designed one and now I'm working hard to print it (it's taking up quite a bit of time) - my plan is to paint it in Pagenaud's car color. **UPDATE :** I'm finally painting it to the colors of Alexander Rossi's car since I couldn't bring myself to paint all that hard work bright yellow! As you can see from the pictures, this model is MASSIVE! To build a *full scale* version, you'll need: - Every STL part given (including pegs_x18.STL or singlePeg.STL) - Some M4 rod (<100mm x 4 and <340mm x 2) - Six (6) 2mm diam. nails cut to <30mm in length - Six (6) flat-head 6mm M3 screws - You'll also need some Super Glue or epoxy, I haven't figured out which is best yet (If you already figured it out for yourself, let me know :] ) **UPDATE**: I used both. - Four (4) self-drilling drywall anchor (with countersunk screws) *Notes*: - The attachment part is still in the design phase. I'm waiting to have the wing printed so I can model it. - The model has been cut to fit loosely in a 200x200x200mm print volume. If your printer can handle printing bigger, feel free to cut and use the "**complete**" file. - When the symbol " < " is used, it means that you need to include some tolerances (1 or 2mm should be fine). If you have any questions, go ahead and ask! I'd love to help.
