Otto Gutfreund was a Czechoslovakian sculptor born in 1889 and died in 1927. He honed his art skills at studios in Prague and Paris, emerging in the 1910s as a prominent figure in cubist sculpture. Following his military service during World War I, Gutfreund transitioned to a more realistic style of art. His later work encompasses numerous small polychrome ceramic figures along with architectural decorations.
