Industrial Strength Cat Feeder Build Instructions Located at Instructables: https://www.instructables.com/id/Industrial-Strength-Cat-pet-Feeder/ Computer Source Code Located at Github: https://github.com/jplanaux/jplanaux.github.io I Travel for Many Weeks, Leaving Feral Cats Unattended. For Years, I've Used Modified Amazon Feeders Controlled by Raspberry Pi Computers. Despite Using Two Back-up Feeders, Reliability Concerns Persisted. This Project Eliminates Those Concerns with a Superior Feeder: Easier Programming, IoT Connectivity, Heavy-duty Motor, Steel Bearings on the Shaft, and Consistent Feed Rates Regardless of Food Levels. The Industrial Strength Cat Feeder is a Web-based Pet Feeding System: Computer-controlled using Raspberry Pi Operated by a Web Server Displaying Current Bowl Photos. The Server Features Buttons for On-demand Feeding, New Photo Capture, Automatic Feeding Time Customization, and Email Verification of Operations. Reliability Ensured with High-quality Motor and Battery Backup for the Pi. Connectivity Allowing Owners to Monitor Food Supplies Remotely. This Feeder is Designed as a Subpart for Outdoor Feral Cat Systems, Featuring Redundant Feeders and Raccoon-proof Design. I Will Share the Larger System Details Later. For Indoor Use, I Added a Base, Cover, and Bowl; These Can be Removed or Modified as Needed. I Have Used Raspberry Pi-controlled Feeders Successfully for Extended Periods, Expecting High Reliability from This Feeder After Weeks of Operation and Maintenance. This Project Requires a 3D Printer, Accessible in Many Metro Areas Through Library Resources.
