Industrial lighting cage

I'm thrifty, and I didn't want to shell out big bucks for these in-style industrial-look lights. Instead, I made the mounts from some wood that Home Depot was tossing out, planing it down to a consistent size. The cord is a bulk extension cord cut to length: https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.sjoow-copper-electrical-cord---142-black.1000823358.html (SJOOW Copper Electrical Cord - 14/2 Black). I wired the sockets in and plugs on the other end. My house has an outlet controlled by a switch on the wall, making this setup perfect. Both lights turn on when I flip the switch. The cage follows the contour of a LED 40W ST19 Filament bulb, also known as Edison bulbs: https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.led-40w-st19-filament-clear-2200k---case-of-4-bulbs.1001028452.html (LED 40W ST19 Filament Clear (2200K) - Case of 4 Bulbs). The top of the cage fits snugly over the socket diameter and has a split to tighten it down with a #6 bolt. I used this socket: https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.medium-base-socket-push-through.1001063598.html (Medium Base Socket, Push Through). The bottom and top parts of the cage are screwed together with ¼” #6 screws, using only two holes for added stability. I printed the top part right-side up to minimize supports, while the bottom piece was printed upside down for the same reason. You'll need to use some supports, though. I hope you find this project useful and inspiring.
