Industrial Bevel Gearbox / Gear Reducer (Cutaway version)
myminifactory
PART OF MY INDUSTRIAL GEARBOX COLLECTION This fully 3D printable industrial bevel gearbox / gear reducer model is designed for training purposes, featuring a gear ratio of 1:1 with no reduction. Bevel gears are commonly used in applications that require motion redirection, such as outboard motors, helicopters, and car differentials. No additional hardware is required to assemble this gearbox. UPDATE 7-16-2018 I've added a cap option that enables non-cutaway printing, allowing for a more authentic representation. To achieve this, print the two NON-CUTAWAY files. Print settings: * AxleSupport: No * Infill: 40 – 60 % * Layer height: 0.1 – 0.3 mm Bevel Gear 1: * Support: No * Infill: 40 – 60 % * Layer height: 0.1 – 0.3 mm Bevel Gear 2: * Support: No * Infill: 40 – 60 % * Layer height: 0.1 – 0.3 mm Handle: * Support: No * Infill: 40 – 60 % * Layer height: 0.1 – 0.3 mm Housing top: * Support: No * Infill: 20 – 40 % * Layer height: 0.1 – 0.3 mm Housing: * Support: No * Infill: 20 – 40 % * Layer height: 0.1 – 0.3 mm Stop: * Support: No * Infill: 20 – 40 % * Layer height: 0.1 – 0.3 mm NON-CUTAWAY cap: * Support: No * Infill: 20 – 40 % * Layer height: 0.1 – 0.3 mm NON-CUTAWAY house: * Support: No * Infill: 20 – 40 % * Layer height: 0.1 – 0.3 mm Clearances in this model range from 0.2 to 0.4 mm (0.008 – 0.016 inch).
