Introduction The Industrial Area HDRI Collection is a series of high-dynamic range images showcasing rugged and industrialized environments. This collection typically features scenes with an urban decay theme, often depicting degeneration and abandonment. The lighting conditions within these images vary from natural outdoor light to artificial indoor illumination. Description A pioneering effort in the set of industrial-themed HDRI images. This 360/180-degree HDRI was captured at the industrial area of my hometown during spring dusk. It is ideal for producing physically accurate lighting in computer-generated work or panoramic purposes, including backplates and 360-degree backplates for compositions (for example with Red Giant Horizon). The possibilities are endless! For personal projects, I primarily use these HDRI images for computer-generated work, focusing on lighting and realism. However, if a project requires integrating computer-generated objects into a real-world environment, I utilize the HDRI images to achieve accurate lighting and reflections. I encourage you to explore innovative ways to utilize these images. Tip: In 3DS Max, when using VRay, you can opt to use only the sky portion of the image by unchecking the "Full-dome" option in VrayLight Dome-settings. This collection includes high-quality tone-mapped 8-bit 18 megapixel JPEG backplates from various angles for compositing purposes. Camera Captured with a Canon EOS 600D equipped with the Magic Lantern HDR-Bracketing Feature. Lens Shot using the Sigma EX DC HSM f3.5-4 10-20mm Lens. HDR-rig Utilized a standard tripod and DIY zero-parallax rig. Exposure 2-EV 3-step exposure was employed. Format Available in OpenEXR and Radiance formats. Package includes OpenEXR and Radiance HDRI images A set of JPEG backplates and JPEG panoramas A complementary file containing a model imitating the warehouse shown in the image, prepared for VRay, along with VRay shaders and textures from my own library. Useable in any 3D application that supports HDR-based lighting and reflections.
