Introduction The Industrial Area HDRI-brand showcases an extensive collection of high-dynamic range images that vividly depict industrialized and rugged environments. Typically, the qualities selected under this brand encompass themes such as industrialism, urban decay, degeneration, and abandonment. The lighting conditions in these scenes vary extensively, ranging from natural exterior illumination to artificial indoor lighting. Description This 360/180-degree HDRI is perfect for creating physically accurate lighting effects in your computer-generated work or panoramic purposes, backplates, 360-degree backplate compositions (for instance with Red Giant Horizon), and other applications. For personal use, I primarily employ the HDRI's I capture for CG-work and lighting purposes. However, if a project requires placing CGI objects within a real-world environment, I utilize the HDRI to produce accurate lighting and reflections. Don't limit yourself to these uses; explore innovative ways to utilize these HDRI's. Provided are high-quality tone-mapped 8-bit 18 megapixel JPEG backplates from various angles for your use. Camera Shot with Canon EOS 60D equipped with Magic Lantern HDR-bracketing feature. Lens Utilizing the Samyang 8mm lens. HDR-rig Employing a standard tripod with a DIY zero-parallax rig. Exposure Captured using a 2-EV 7-step exposure. Format Includes OpenEXR 32-bit files and JPEG-files. Additional HDR-formats are possible upon request, with OpenEXR chosen for its widespread popularity. These HDRI's can be used in any 3D-application that supports HDR-based lighting and reflections. Usage It may seem unclear what the actual purpose of these HDR-images is. They serve a variety of purposes in 3D-formats to produce physically accurate lighting, recreating the conditions present in the scene from which the panorama was captured. I'd say the most common usage is achieving lifelike light conditions for architectural renders, but also for breathing life into your fantastic 3D-scenes. About HDRI's in general: http://northlogicvfx.com/2013/10/30/about-hdr/ Regarding the usage of HDRI's in 3DS Max and VRay: http://northlogicvfx.com/2013/10/30/hdr-in-vray-and-3ds-max/ The backplates are left unaltered, without any cropping or straightening. I've chosen to leave this decision up to the buyer, allowing them to maximize their field of view from the backplates. Though I've taken precision in deleting artifacts, errors may still occur. If you encounter such issues, I'll provide an enhanced version free of charge. My plan is to review all HDR's for possible errors and implement enhancements when I have more time.
