Inductive z-endstop German Reprap Neo

thingiverse

A superior inductive endstop for German Reaprap Neo enthusiasts. My original endstop had a tolerance of 0.07 to 0.08 mm, but this upgrade will deliver precision under 0.02mm, likely as low as 0.01mm. The height of the first layer varies significantly with every z-axis homing due to this tolerance, necessitating bed adjustments at the start of each print. If you're tired of this hassle, this upgrade is perfect for you. This part replaces your original endstop without requiring any software updates or additional hardware. Simply: * An inductive sensor (PNP normally open M8) * A 3-pin connector to connect it to the printrboard * Two screws (M3) at least 10mm long (the originals won't fit) * Two nuts (M3) To install, follow these steps: 1. Open the printer's back panel. 2. Unscrew and disconnect the original endstop. 3. Assemble the inductive sensor to this part. 4. Shorten the wire and crimp the connector. 5. Mount the assembly at the holes where the original switch was attached. 6. Connect the endstop to the board. Test it thoroughly! Adjust the endstop from the front panel using the two screws, then close the back cover.
