"Inductive Candle" is a revolutionary, cable-free charging system that enables users to automatically turn their candle on or off with ease. The innovative design utilizes an inductive transmitter and coil in the base assembly, paired with a 12mm diameter by 3mm thick neodymium magnet. The candle assembly contains a powerful inductive coil and receiver, a lithium polymer battery charger, a rechargeable lithium polymer battery, a 6mm diameter by 2mm thick neodymium magnet, a normally open reed switch, and a flickering LED light. When the candle assembly is removed from the base assembly, the neodymium magnet activates the reed switch, illuminating the LED using the LiPo battery as the power source. When the candle assembly is returned to the base assembly, the neodymium magnet alters the magnetic field of the neodymium magnet in the candle assembly, deactivating the reed switch and extinguishing the LED while the inductive charging system charges the LiPo battery. This unique design ensures that the candle is turned off when it's being charged. The inductive charging system operates efficiently from 9 to 12vdc, but be aware that using a 12vdc power source may generate excessive heat, which could damage most PLA filaments. To avoid this issue, I recommend printing the base and cover components using Ultimaker CPE+ or equivalent filament with a higher temperature rating. The design was created using Autodesk Fusion 360 and Meshmixer 3.5.474, then sliced using Cura 4.1 and printed on an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and an Ultimaker 3 Extended. I used no compensation for the use of any components or materials in this design, and I'm confident that it will provide a unique and enjoyable experience for users. The "Inductive Candle" is a testament to the power of innovation and creativity, offering a new way to enjoy candles without the hassle of cables.
