Ideally an induction bearing would produce a reverse rotational field which would act opposite to the direction of rotation.This system can be used only where the shaft is to be made weightless/ levitated. This will add resistance to the spin of the shaft. But lot less compared to conventional ball bearings as there is no physical contact.
