Individual Resistor Tray
thingiverse
I needed some resistor trays for a little project I was working on and the item I used fit perfectly - almost. The one thing I didn't need was the drawer unit, but what I did need to do was prevent everything from falling out; a lid would definitely be in order. Thanks to https://www.thingiverse.com/tesa97 for providing the starting point. Here it is, a rough go in Fusion 360 and hopefully it works! Edit: Trying it as a hinged lid wasn't going to work - figuring out the position of the hinge point just wasn't worth the effort. Extending a hinge out the back of the box? No way, I wanted it to keep the same external dimensions as much as possible. Aha! A sliding lid is definitely the way to go! Thanks https://www.thingiverse.com/Area51 Re-importing the original base into Fusion 360 and sketching up the rest in there! I'll print and post as soon as I can - and sort out any issues that might come up. Yay. Edit: Version 2 of the lid was created, but clearances weren't practical (tight would be an understatement). Reprinting the lid with the existing base file to see if more adjustments are needed. Final(?) Edit: Version 2 Lid is too loose in version 2 base, so I've returned to version 3 (the original thickness, but with a reduced width). Let me know if it fits & I can re-edit if necessary.
