Human-Made Finger: 1/6/15 Designed for direct 3D printing into a single solid object, this model allows immediate bending once print scaffolding is removed. Rubber bands attach to rear "hook" shapes and a wire/string runs through the channel, attaching to the figure 8 at the tip. With proper execution, pulling the string should bend the finger while releasing tension returns it to normal length. Rubber bands serve as the agonist to the string tendon. I plan regular updates to improve this design over time, starting with refining current draft details.
