Index Finger Splint

Index Finger Splint

thingiverse

This is a straightforward finger splint designed specifically for your index finger. It secures the lower joint of the digit, providing stability and support. The size and alignment - whether left or right-handed - can be effortlessly adjusted using your slicer's settings. To print this splint, use 100% infill and a generous brim, but omit any raft or support structures. Opt for PLA as your material of choice. Once the printing process is complete, submerge the splint in boiling water to soften it. Then, gently shape the splint to perfectly mirror the contours of your hand. When done correctly, this finger splint can be worn without any additional securing tape and will remain firmly in place even during sleep. PiuLAB deserves credit for the innovative use of hot water to achieve a comfortable fit.
