Indalo

The original prehistoric Indalo magic symbol can be found in the Spanish Sierra de María-Los Vélez Natural Park cave known as "Los Letreros", which translates to "The Signboards". This enigmatic figure has been painted in front of houses and businesses since ancient times to ward off evil. Like the popular US Kokopelli, the Indalo is a powerful godly emblem used for protection and good fortune. Researchers believe that the origins of the Levantine-indigenous symbol go all the way back 4,500 years to 2,500 BC, during an era long lost in history books. Unfortunately, much information about the Iberian origin of the Indalo has vanished into time. Legend tells us that it was given the name in honor of Saint Indaletius and translates into "The Messenger of Gods".
