Incompletely Joined Coil
sketchfab
Section of a pot revealing signs of an unfinished coil joint. The original vessel was crafted by experimental archaeologist Caroline Jeffra using the wheel-coiling method as outlined in Roux-Courty's work (1998), demonstrated below. View our blog post on wheel coiling here. A forming video is available via YouTube. Technical specifications: The original pot was scanned with the David SLS-3 scanner. The section of interest was then isolated using 3D modeling software Maxon Cinema4D, enlarged three times, and exported to .STL format.
