Artifacts unearthed from Shell Creek in Lee County, Florida have been recovered and are now on display at HistoryMiami Museum. The chronology of these artifacts dates back to AD 1100 - 1500. They represent the Safety Harbor and Mississippian cultural periods. Notably, they feature incised decorations. The central Gulf Coast region of Florida is where these types of artifacts occur most frequently. A detailed model of this artifact was created by Lindsay Bloch using a NextEngine 3D Desktop laser scanner.
