For Thing-A-Day 2011, I'm undertaking a 1D, 2D, and 3D challenge, starting with a novella chapter about inchworms. Moving onto 2D, I sketched an original caterpillar design for Thingiverse, using Inkscape and my Wacom tablet to adhere to the MakerBot Unicorn's path-only requirement. Thanks to Marty's incredible work on Scribbles and Eggbot tools, converting drawings to Gcode is now seamless. Tomorrow, I'll delve into 3D modeling for Thingiverse, either using 3Dtin or other software to create more caterpillar designs.
