The Inateck FD2002 docking station's dust/drive cover fits two 3.5-inch drives snugly. It will also accommodate other docking stations with a slot-to-slot distance of 41mm, plus or minus 0.5mm tolerance, and drive protrusion ranging from 10 to 11cm. Some Sharkoon models seem compatible due to similar dimensions. The cover features convection cooling, which keeps HDD temperatures in check during operation. It increases by about 1.5C compared to open-air conditions. Internal fins slide over the drives, stabilizing them securely. The top cap is printed separately and attaches via a clip-on mechanism. This design is optimized for a 0.4 nozzle with a 0.2 layer height. To print it successfully, turn the cover upside down as instructed. No supports are required during the printing process.
