In the garden
sketchfab
I wanted to develop a new environment without getting too overwhelmed by an overly ambitious project. A garden is the perfect canvas because it's like its own miniature world, complete with tiny creatures, lush foliage, and its own distinct landscape. My texturing and material skills still need some work, so I was eager to see just how much detail I could achieve using simple painted textures. The entire project was created using Blender, with a little Photoshop for painting and post-processing thrown in. The HDRI environment texture came from https://hdrihaven.com/ "nagoya_wall_path". Initially, I had planned on producing a single render, but then decided it would be more fun to share my work on Sketchfab. So, I baked all the textures for import into Sketchfab, and since it was a busy scene, I had to make some compromises in terms of texture quality. To optimize things, I kept the texture dimensions low and tried to combine them where possible.
