IN-12 Nixie socket
thingiverse
I'm working on a custom low-profile socket for IN-12 tubes. It's a clever adaptation that uses DB25 d-sub connector pins I sourced from Amazon. The pins fit snugly, but to ensure a smooth installation process, I drilled the outer holes to 1.1mm to clear any potential blobs or debris. Next, I carefully slot the tube into place and partially seat the pins in the back of the socket. With the tube guiding the pins, I use a soldering iron to apply gentle heat, which helps secure the pins firmly in place and prevents them from becoming loose over time.
