ImpulseRC Helix Fairing
thingiverse
This fairing I run on all my Helixes is a game-changer. The stock fairings just weren't cutting it for several reasons: 1. They only came in 19x19mm mounting holes, which left me scrambling with modern motors trending towards 16x16 mounting patterns. Since every one of my quads features 16x16 motors, I opted to upgrade the fairing to accommodate this standard. This way, 100% of motors can be used seamlessly. 2. The stock fairings that come with the Helix were too small for anything above a 30A ESC. Given my Aikon AK32 35A 6S ESCs, they were about 2mm too wide for the stock fairings. These 3D printed ones fit any ESC perfectly, even on a 5-inch setup. These fairings boast an ultra-versatile design that allows for quick changes without desoldering ESC wires. The holes on the sides of the fairing make it a breeze to swap out a fairing in no time. Of course, the original center hole remains intact for those who prefer to use it as intended. There are two versions available: the 16x16 fairing includes mounting holes for any motor configuration, and the 'Universal Helix Fairing' without screw holes is designed for a more minimalist approach. It attaches securely with one screw through the arm attaching it to the plates and a zip tie towards the outside of the arm to keep it in place.
