Improvised hot glue hobbing jig
thingiverse
Assembling your first 3D printer sans workshop or another printer is relatively simple, save for hobbing Wade's extruder bolt. This process can be shared as it may be helpful to others. You can create a homemade hobbing jig using hot glue, BBQ skewers, and a cooking pot or any solid surface. First, affix the bearings and bolt with hot glue; add more layers if needed for stability. Insert the BBQ skewers into the glue for support. Once the glue is set, hob using a hand drill and tap. The bearings can be easily removed upon disassembly.
