Improving extruder temperature stabilization using high temp silicone sealant
thingiverse
I have been using my 3D printer FlashForge Creator Pro for over three years now, and I've had great success with ABS and PLA filament. Recently, I decided to push the limits of my printer by trying out nylon and PC, so I upgraded my 3D printer with all-metal hot ends. However, I quickly realized that my printer was having trouble heating up the extruders to a temperature of 275 degrees Celsius. To resolve this issue, I used a high-temperature silicone sealant to wrap around the aluminum block. This solution has significantly improved the heating and temperature stabilization of the extruders. Here's the link to one of the best high-temp silicone sealants that I've found: https://www.amazon.com/Permatex-81878-Maximum-Temperature-Silicone/dp/B0002UEOPA/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1532574085&sr=8-6&keywords=high+temp+silicone+sealant https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLXYdZsTT8s
