Improved Tri Rod Mod Extruder Mount (Printrbot Simple 1405)

The standard extruder mount for the tri rod modification is fundamentally flawed, featuring an extremely thin attachment point and utilizing only three of the four available screws to secure the alu extruder. Over time, I observed a worrying trend - under the combined weight of the motor and nearby heat, the original mount would sag, bending in response to its extreme thinness. This deformation consistently occurred during prints, causing severe frustration as the resulting y-shifts measured several millimeters. To alleviate these issues, I devised an improved version featuring strategically placed holes to secure the alu extruder across four points, thus more evenly distributing the motor's weight and countering bending through a substantial bolstered attachment surface. Initial tests suggest that this revised design performs admirably, withstanding even intense print runs without issue.
