The base now stands at a sturdy 3mm thick, while the horn has also undergone a thickness increase - its newfound strength is evident, and the nut hole has been expertly enlarged to seamlessly accommodate a more accessible 4-40 nut. With this adjustment, however, there's a scarcity of surrounding material around the nut, so I strategically applied minuscule dots of gel CA on either side before securely pressing the nut into place. This augmentation not only reinforces the assembly but also permanently integrates the nut, ensuring that even in the event of cracking, the entire piece remains cohesive and intact.
