Unimpressed with my initial loincloth design, I downed a few drinks and got to work. This is what emerged from my efforts. These designs are versatile, adaptable, and can be flipped or resized as needed to cover loins or serve any other purpose you desire. They should prove ideal for salamanders, but also suitable for any creature with scaly features that need covering. I'm currently working on scaled shoulder pads, so keep an eye out for those. Printing a few test pieces at 0.08 layer height using a standard nozzle has yielded impressive results, with crisp scales and hammers clearly visible. To achieve the best outcome, print vertically with a small raft (3-5mm is ideal) for added stability. While printing horizontally can also work, the resulting scales will be more rounded and messy. Note: I'm not qualified to speak on resin-based prints, but for FDM printers, be aware that the smaller studs will not print properly. To address this issue, I hastily incorporated the three larger studs into the design.
