Improved Rope Tie Down
thingiverse
I am working on an updated design for a circular rope tie-down that improves upon a previous, larger version. This original model was essentially a big rectangular piece of plastic designed to form a large loop in the rope without requiring a knot. In contrast, my improved circular version is significantly smaller and much stronger. Print Instructions: The optimal combination for print strength versus material usage can be achieved by printing 6 solid layers on both the top and bottom sections, accompanied by a rectilinear infill at 50%. If you're looking to reduce the infill percentage while still maintaining a strong part, try printing 4 solid layers on both sides along with a 20% rectilinear infill. The resulting piece is surprisingly as robust as the original solid plastic tie-down that I updated earlier.
