improved R2-D2 Minifig legs
thingiverse
The original legs of the Lego Minifig for R2 don't quite live up to their namesake, so here's a proposed solution. Technic pins are used to enhance these parts. The "shoulder" utilizes http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-three-quarter-pin-32002, while the "ankle" relies on http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-half-pin-with-stud-4274 and the front "foot" employs http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-axle-2-with-grooves-32062. R2 can now stand upright thanks to a clever design that allows the front foot to adjust in two positions on a plate, but this requires the rear feet to be positioned outside the legs for stability.
