Improved Prusa heated platform leveling thing
thingiverse
To enhance my bed leveling process and reduce costs, I implemented changes in my Prusa build using the following parts: 4 M3 Rosettes from Thingiverse, 16 M3 nuts, 4 M3x16 bolts, and 8 cut segments of Servalite WSH-8566U Sliding Bolt Spring with "Dog." I applied this modification to the AlephObjects Aluminum bed plate. Here's a step-by-step guide: 1. Print the M3 Rosettes from Thingiverse. 2. Assemble M3 nut into rosette, followed by running an M3x16 screw into the rosette with the nut side. 3. Screw M3 nut to rosetta and tighten. 4. Attach 1 of 8 spring portions onto the bolt. 5. Screw this assembly upward through the aluminum plate. 6. Add another spring portion and a flat washer onto the bolt, then repeat steps 4-6 for all 4 screws. 7. Place the heated bed over the 4 screws. 8. Attach 2 M3 nuts onto screws atop the heated bed. 9. Adjust height and lock twin nuts as "jam nuts." 10. The TXT file contains these instructions, with Thingiverse links for visuals. The Servalite WSH-8566U Sliding Bolt Spring with "Dog" was purchased at OSH for $1.
