Improved motherboard cooling for the Eryone Thinker printer
thingiverse
Extra cooling may be necessary to prevent missed steps if ambient temperature rises too high or when pushing steppers with Klipper for example. To do this simply, consider the stock air baffle as a solution. It directs airflow in a manner similar to servers use. If you need more than that, the extra flow air baffle allows you to install an additional 40mm fan blowing directly over the X,Y,Z stepper drivers. For extreme cooling needs (using Klipper or with raised Vref for example), replace the existing 40mm fan on the baffle with a 5015 blower and use the adapter plate. To complete this upgrade, you will need a 24V fan/blower. Additionally, some screws are required: four M3x10mm screws for a 4010 fan, four M3x6mm screws, and one M4x20mm screw for the blower. The M4x20mm screw can be printed as there is minimal stress on it. To install the extra baffle, simply slide it over two existing 40mm fan screws. When installing a blower, unplug the extruder cable first to avoid obstruction while sliding the baffle in place.
