The Great Meduza Belt Geared Feeder Upgrade had several minor drawbacks that I aimed to rectify. This version is a complete overhaul, so it's not identical and nor compatible with the original Meduzas design. I've successfully used this gearbox in conjunction with iRoberti's feeder and have logged over 1,000 hours of printing experience with it. Compared to the original design, this upgraded feeder boasts several key improvements: *Longer screw slots allow for greater adjustability, as well as utilizing a 16T pulley for a 2.25x transmission ratio rather than the 1.8x of the original. *The base is 0.5mm thicker to prevent damage to the back of the printer from the inner bearing. *Permanent cable retention clips ensure secure connections. *Screws on the top plate are recessed, allowing the arm of the iRoberti feeder to be fully extended. *Holes for nuts feature a chamfer, making it possible to print them without supports. *Larger holes in the top plate provide access to screws. *Deeper holes for the two nuts in the top plate simplify installation and prevent loss. I've also included a step file for anyone who wants to modify or customize this design. To build this feeder, you'll need the following hardware: *A 16T or 20T pulley (I personally use a 20T pulley) *A 36T pulley *A 5mm rod measuring approximately 25mm plus the thickness of the feeder (for iRoberti, this would be about 40mm; however, a longer rod may also work) *A 55t 110mm GT2 belt *Two MF695 or F695 flanged bearings *Two M3 screws measuring 10-20mm in length *Four M3 screws measuring 12mm in length (10mm or 14mm might suffice but would be marginal) *Four M3 screws measuring approximately 6.5mm plus the thickness of the feeder (for iRoberti, this would be around 20mm) and no more than 10mm longer *Six M3 nyloc nuts *(Optional) One to two 5mm washers adjacent to the 36T wheel to prevent movement
