I adapted the project developed by gwpoulos to my Green Cape Lighthouse model with amazing results: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvJgFoeqf18&feature=youtu.be I redesigned the 3D printed housing pieces for the LEDs to fit my model and available LED strip. I used a Deek Robot Arduino Pro Mini clone, since the original was not found, and it worked well with a 5V external regulator suggested in the project for long-term operation. Instructions: Print PLA with normal settings without support. Two rings are needed, one for the top and one for the bottom. To adapt this modification to the existing Green Cape Lighthouse model, print the new_optics 1, 2, and 3 pieces to fit them on top of the existing balcony. I included two additional pieces, new_optics 4 and 5, if you prefer assembling the window frames instead of printing them as one piece. If you want the electronic circuit's function buttons to be accessible from outside the model, print the new_base piece, which was modified to save some material but requires better alignment with other body pieces. The rest of the original lighthouse model pieces can be used without any changes, including body 1, 2, and 3; balcony 1 and 2; dome, and accessories.
