Improved HyperX Quadcast to mic arm adapter
thingiverse
I needed something to connect the HyperX Quadcast microphone to this Aokeo microphone stand: https://a.co/d/0I8SXm7Frankly, I'm not sure how the original model ever properly held the microphone. The width was good, but the outer radius was too big to align properly with the holes, the tightening knob and bolt couldn't contact each other through the thickness of the print, the tightening knob had no wall to tighten against, and there was no slot for the bolt to sit into in order for the tightening knob to properly tighten. So I cut slots for a better concentric fit with the central hole, I cut a hole for the bolt to sit in (it worked with the hex bolt included in my microphone, anyway), I changed the radii of the holes for the tightening knob to actually tighten against, and I made a few walls thinner so that the two parts of the tightening system can connect.I'm sure the bottom threads were appropriately sized to the original designer's microphone stand, but they don't fit too well for me. I'm terrible with thread dimensions, though, so I just left them as they were and forced it onto the arm until it stuck in place. One final note: I printed it with the thread hole facing down. I had to manually add support in cura to the hole underneath and the hex hole on the side using the "print as support" option on other cube models. The automatic support generation just wasn't enough for the small hex hole and the precise walls of the threads, though your experience may differ. The hole opposite the hex hole printed well enough without support.
