This filament sensor lever resolves a common issue with some i3 printers where the infrared filament sensor consistently shows that filament is loaded, even when it's actually empty. If you're experiencing issues with the auto load feature or if your printer continues printing after the spool runs out, check the "Sensor State" menu to see if "IR:" always displays "1". If so, this part might be the solution to your problem.
